Janet Bade

Janet Marjorie Bade, beloved wife of Arthur Bade, departed this earth on October 30, 2003.  Janet was the daughter of Alfred and Margaret Marx, a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who took great joy in her children and grandchildren.  She was dedicated to serving her church, Bayshore Presbyterian, and to The Children’s Home, Inc. of Tampa, her favorite charity.  Janet was born in New Jersey, the second of three daughters.  She moved with her family to Chicago, where she later met her husband of 43 years, Arthur Henry Bade.  She attended Stetson University in Deland, Florida, and worked for a time as an accountant. With her beloved husband, she adopted 4 children, raising them in Tampa, where she lived for 33 years.  Two of her great joys in life were rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and traveling the world with her husband.  Janet will be greatly missed by her family and by those whose lives she touched.  She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; her sisters Phyllis and Carol; and her children, Andrew, Eric, Jennifer, and Julie, as well as 9 grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Lauren, Michelle, Kyle, Lorelei, August, Benjamin, and Anson.  A memorial service in honor of Janet’s life will be held at Bayshore Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, November 4, at  2  PM.  Those wishing to send flowers may do so, or contributions to The Children’s Home, Inc., 10909 Memorial Highway, Tampa, Florida 33615-9988 in her honor would be appreciated.
